Richard O. Davis, 89, of Marinette, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018 at home.
Born Oct. 31, 1928 in Niagara, to the late Thomas and Iva Fern (Leslie) Davis Sr., he graduated from Peshtigo High School and served in the United States Army from 1947-1950. On Oct. 27, 1956, he married Beverly Pier in Peshtigo and they celebrated 60 years together before her passing on Feb. 21, 2016.
For 13 years, he worked at L.E. Jones and then 23 years at the Marinette Post Office as a letter carrier. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by three daughters, Iva (Mark) Bice of Marinette, Margie Behnke of Marinette and MaryAnn Brooks of Arizona; two sons, Larry Davis of Eugene Or. and Harvey (Linda) Davis of W.V.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Beverly, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Tom and Cleo and three sisters, Mary, Carol and Beulah.
Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home on Saturday, April 21 from noon until time of Memorial Services at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Marinette.
