Town of Wausaukee Holds Meetings Issue Date: May 3, 2018
Wausaukee Town Board annual and regular meetings were held on April 17 at the Town Hall.
Present at the regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. were Chairman Jeff Engelmann, Supervisors Bob Jicha, David Tomasino, Kurt Stumbris, Dennis Taylor, and Clerk Cheryl Stumbris. Treasurer Sally Hultquist was absent.
Also attending were Jack Zore, Bob Wesolowski, Chopper Dunlap, James Pociask, Nicklaus Craig, Patrick Schlies, Jake Stedler, Maryanne Tomasino, Rick Buetow, Lloyd Wallenslager, Christopher Grove, Howard Shanks, Darlene Zarnstorff, and Lance Rowley
Agenda were approved followed by Financial Report which showed balance of May 31 in Checking $27,987.75 and MM General Account $ 350,351.65.
Vouchers were approved.
Nicklaus Craig requested variance to bring in a 14x70 1997 mobile home on the corner of Brooks and Beach Rd. After some discussion and viewing pictures Stumbris made a motion to grant him variance.
Supervisor Jicha submitted Lake Ordinances to the DNR which replied with some additional stipulations. After comments from the audience, Supervisors assured the property owners there will be more discussion to involve the public before any final decisions are made.
Engelmann opened blacktop bids which were from Northeast Asphalt, Inc.; Scott Construction and Fahrner Asphalt Sealers. Jicha made a motion to award Scott Construction for Cold mix at $53.50 per ton and 20FT mile using 1,350 ton of cold mix compacted to 2" at $72,225; also 20FT Mile using 100% fractured 3/8" granite at $18,400.
Road construction will be tabled until May 8 session.
Board of Review at the Town Hall Tuesday, May 8 as required by State Statutes at 6:59 PM but will immediately adjourn to later date.
Jicha made a motion to allow Wausaukee Enterprises Inc. to use Town Fleet I.D. Number, and to appoint Jeff Engelmann Highway Superintendent for the period of April 2018 to April 2019.
Employee Insurance will be in closed session and Town of Wausaukee will seek options for web site.

Minutes of the 2017 annual meeting were read by Clerk Cheryl Stumbris and Jack Zore made a motion to approve.
The 2017 annual report was reviewed and Bob Wesolowski made a motion to approve with a second by Chopper Dunlap.
Supervisor Jicha made a motion to retain Stephenson National Bank as the town's Depository, and on Bob Wesolowski's second,
Christopher Grove made a motion to allow the Town of Wausaukee to borrow funds as needed from an institution of their choice with Wesolowski's second.
The 2019 annual meeting is Tuesday o fApril 2019 at 7 p.m.
Chairman Engelmann also gave his State of the Town Address.
