Rita Mary (Kline) Wery, 85, of Stephenson, Mi., passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Roubal Care and Rehab Center in Stephenson, Mi.
Born Oct. 10, 1932 in Warsaw, Ky., to the late Lamiel and Martha (Weber) Kline, she married Ervin Wery on July 24, 1954 at Precious Blood Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 2018.
A good baker, she enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, reading, making baked goods for family and the Church and had a large garden. A member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, St. Anne's Society and the Crafty Crew, she especially loved time visiting with family members.
Survivors include six children, Janice (John) Thoune, Allen (Kelly) and Beth (John) Solander, all of Stephenson, David (Janet) of Daggett, Mi., Marianne (David) Broberg of Germantown and Phil (Kristle) of Menominee. 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Joan, Marian, Bernadette and Geralyn and nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Ashley; two sisters, Therese and Celeste and a brother, Claudus.
Family will receive friends at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Friday, May 18 from 11 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. at Precious Blood Catholic Church. Fr. Ronald Timock will officiate followed by burial in Stephenson Township Cemetery.
