Robert "Jack" Thoune, 75, of Stephenson, Mi., passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born Oct. 14, 1942 in Menominee, Mi., to the late Robert and Ernestine (Ivanowski) Thoune, he married Dorothy Plaskey-Plummer on May 13, 1971 in Menominee.
He worked at Marinette Marine as a welder and also owned and operated Belgiumtown Bar and Jacks Mobile. He loved working on his farm raising cattle, going camping and taking care of his lawn.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Jason (Tara) Thoune of Marinette and Gary Plummer of Stephenson; five grandchildren; three sisters, Carol Delfosse, Lynn (Tom) Geib and Mary (Dale) Carlson, all of Menominee and a sister-in-law, Irene Urmanski.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Thoune.
Visitation was held at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stepheson on Wednesday, May 16 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., followed by Military Rites at 4:15 p.m. at his farm.
