Joy M. (Wenzel) Van Hecke, 56, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 at a Green Bay area hospital.
Born Jan. 8, 1962 in Oconto, to Marvin Wenzel and the late Mary Wenzel, she lived in Menominee with her fiancé, Michael Robinson and their dog Poncho for more than 20 years.
She enjoyed cooking, listening to music, with "Highway Run" by Journey being a favorite, but mostly loved time with family and rides to Oconto to check up on her Dad to share baked goods and other dishes with him.
She is survived by her fiancé, Michael Robinson; her father, Marvin; four children and two sons-in-law, Heidi (Josh), Ashley (Justin), Michael and Adam; six grandchildren; four brothers, Rick, Charles, Jeff and Dwayne; five sisters, Tela, Carol, Mary, Dianne and Dawn and many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Travis; a granddaughter, Paris; her mother, Mary; a brother, Marlin; a nephew, Joshua and a step-brother, Butch.
Friends called at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home in Oconto on Friday May, 25 from 4 p.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 6 p.m., with Rev. Bob Wied officiating. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
