Rena F. Hoffman, 85, of Suring, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018.
Born Jan. 12, 1933 in Iron Mountain, Mi., to the late Harold and Martha (McMahon) Sleeter, she married Elger Hoffman on Oct. 20, 1951 and they lived on the farm in the Town of Bagley. She drove school bus for Lamers Bus Lines.
She enjoyed farming, bowling, camping, traveling with her family, fishing and watching and attending sports, but especially time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Doug (Debbi) Hoffman of Venice, Fla. and Jerry Hoffman of Green Bay; two daughters, Karen (Jerry) Christensen and Brenda (Greg) Lechleitner, both of Suring; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Fred (Cheryl) Sleeter, Alan (Pat) Sleeter and Rodney (Diane) Sleeter; three sisters-in-law, Barb Sleeter, Nancy Sleeter and Marlene (Marvin) Rosner and two brothers-in-law, Sonny Kopatz and Eugene Hoffman.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elger on Nov. 3, 2007; a grandson, Jeremy Christensen; two brothers, Dale Sleeter and Bob Sleeter and two sisters, Bettie Kopatz and Alice Sleeter.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 18 at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. Pastor Andrew Jantz will officiate with interment in Hickory Cemetery. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home of Suring is assisting the family with arrangements.
