Lorraine Marian Bulgrin, 89, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018.
Born March 23, 1929 in Iron Mountain, Mi., to the late Lillian and Ray Heidtke, she graduated from Kingsford High School and married Charles Bulgrin on Feb. 19, 1947 in Racine. They raised three children and were married for 54 years before his death in 2003. She worked at SC Johnson before moving North.
Active members of the Harmony Sportsman Club, they raised pheasants for Marinette County. They enjoyed country music and organizing card parties to fund many Sportsman Club functions. The couple later wintered in Arizona with her brothers and sisters.
She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, camping, fishing, hunting trips to Wyoming and collected rocks from all over the country. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and friends.
After selling their farm, they built their retirement log cabin home and enjoyed being retired. She served as Chaplain for the Peshtigo VFW Auxiliary and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo.
She is survived by a daughter, Diane (Kendall) Block; a son, Paul (Susan) Bulgrin; a son-in-law, Mark Seymour; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lavern Haigh and Marcella Kolba; two brothers, John (Mitzie) Heidtke and Dave Heidtke and many nieces; nephews and special friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Charles, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Seymour; an infant sister and two brothers, Kenneth and Melvin.
Visitation was held Monday, July 16, at Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo from noon until time of services at 2 p.m. Pastor Luke Myslik officiated followed by burial in Harmony Cemetery. Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home of Peshtigo assisted the family with arrangements. Memorials can be made to Zion Lutheran Church or a charity of one's choice.
