Britta Sorenson, 49, of Marinette, passed away Monday morning, July 23, 2018 at her home after a two-year battle with breast cancer.
Born Dec. 18, 1968 in Racine, to Gary Arnold and Ruth (Abbey) Arnold, the family moved to the Peshtigo area and she graduated from Coleman High School in 1987.
On Aug. 10, 1996, she married Scott W. Sorenson and they moved to Marinette. She worked as an administrative assistant for Lloyd Flanders in Menominee for 20 years and enjoyed camping, knitting, and cross-stitching.
She is survived by her husband, Scott; a son, Alex (Chelsea) Hoholek; her mother, Ruth (Al) Behnke; her in-laws, Ken and Carol Sorenson; a sister, Debi (Gabe) Leis; a sister-in-law, Tracy (Rusty) Morris; a brother, Jesse Arnold; a sister, Sarah (Aaron) VanDeBogert and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gary "Bud" (Linda) Arnold and a sister, Jenice Eastman.
A Celebration of Life is planned for 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25 at the Moose Lodge, Hwy. 180, Marinette. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family with arrangements.
