Debra (Schmidt) Tickler, 63, of Wallace, Mi., passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at home with family by her side after a courageous battle with ALS.
Born Sept. 25, 1954 in Menominee, to Arnold and the late Eva (Dragic) Schmidt, she graduated from Stephenson High School in 1972. On July 1, 1972, she married Steve Tickler at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Birch Creek. She worked at Tyco and Lloyd Flanders where she was a Customer Service Rep until retiring in May of 2015.
She enjoyed camping, motorcycle trips, shopping trips with the girls, baking, time with her grandchildren and being with friends and family.
She is survived by her husband Steve; her father, Arnold Schmidt and a daughter, Sharon (Jeff) Peretto, all of Wallace, Mi.; a son, Brian (Kristy) Tickler of Daggett, Mi.; a brother, Doug (Debbie) Schmidt of Wallace, Mi. and three grandchildren.
Her mother, Eva Schmidt, preceded her in death.
Visitation was held Saturday, Aug. 4 at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. at St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Stephenson. Pastor Scott Ehle officiated with burial in Mellen Township Cemetery.
