Michael "Mike" Allen Hirsch, age 58, of Stephenson, MI, passed away peacefully with his family and friends by his side on Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, at his home. He was born in Menominee on May 14, 1960, son of the late Edwin "Mickey" and Carla (Olson) Hirsch. He graduated from Stephenson High School in 1978.
At a young age he grew up working alongside his parents at Hirsch's Supper Club on 577. He later moved to Key West and was a Private Chef for three years until moving to Chicago. This is when he started his Home Restoration Business. In 2017, Mike opened Hirsch's Cedar River Pub. He also loved creating projects, building things, and architecture as well as on/off road riding motorcycles. Spending time with his family, friends, and his dogs was most enjoyable to him. He had a unique gift for forging very strong friendships and making people laugh. He touched a piece of everyone's heart and his soul will live on through all of those whom he met. Mike was a member of the Community Lutheran Church in McAllister.
Survivors include his son, Joe (fiancé Val Vallejo) Hirsch; close friend Michael Downs; sister Tammy Weinschrott; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Dave.
Family and friends visited the Pullman House, N2190 US 41, Menominee, MI on Sunday, Aug. 5, from noon until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 4 p.m. Pastor Paul Hueter officiated. A dinner was served afterwards.
Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee assisted. the family with arrangements.
