Seek Vietnam Veterans Names for Hall Exhibit

Crivitz-The Wall That Heals, will be on display at the Crivitz Community Veterans Park, 515 Park Place, Crivitz, Aug. 30 through Sept.2. The display will be open 24 hours daily, regardless of weather, includes the names of the over 58,000 service members who gave their lives during the Vietnam War as well as the names of the over 1500 service members who are unaccounted for from the that war.
One of the ongoing tragedies of the Vietnam War is the illnesses and death facing veterans from illnesses related to their service in that war. The after effects of the use of chemicals such as Agent Orange, and others are taking the lives of Vietnam veterans frequently. The founders of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. are gathering names of those who have died due to Vietnam related conditions as a part of their "In Memory" program. Adding names to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund In Memory Honor Roll annually in June.
The Wall That Heals comes to Crivitz and the committee is actively seeking to assist them iby gathering names of area veterans who have died from Vietnam related conditions. The Committee feels it is important to recognize these individuals along with those who have their names listed on The Wall. Anyone who has a family member or friend who died from a Vietnam related condition, should contact Committee with their name, service dates and photo if available to honor them on a special display created to exhibit while The Wall is in Crivitz. Volunteers at The Wall That Heals will be able to provide visitors with the information needed to apply to add a name to the 2019 In Memory Program.
In addition to honoring those who have fallen during the Vietnam War and because of illnesses related to that War The Wall That Heals committee also plans to welcome home all Vietnam veterans from our area. The committee invites all Vietnam veterans to be recognized during this event.
