Sherry (Wilber) Vorpahl, 83, of Green Bay, passed away Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, surrounded by family and friends.
Born March 22, 1935, to the late Martin and Frances (Smith) Wilber, in 1952 she married Donald "Eddy" Vorpahl in Shawano and he preceded her in death in 1991.
A homemaker, she also worked at Schreiber Foods for 23 years until retirement. She was an avid Packer fan, enjoyed bowling, darts, reading, playing pool, was an animal lover and a strong independent woman and loving mother.
She is survived by four children, Roxann Wyman, Rusty Vorpahl and Kim Vorpahl, all of Green Bay and Lynn (Robert "Beako") DeGrave of Lena; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald "Eddy" Vorpahl; four sons, Steven, Kevin, David and Lee Vorpahl; a grandson, Little David and two brothers, John Wilber and Martin Wilber.
Visitation will be held at Malcore Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St., Green Bay on Friday, Aug. 17, from 2 p.m. until time of the service at 6 p.m., with the Oneida Singers starting at 4 p.m. Pastor Rick Parker will officiate.
