Genevieve M. Kovnesky, 89, of Crivitz, passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018 at an area nursing home.
Born Jan. 24, 1929 in Wisconsin Rapids, to Fred and Ella (Hoida) Kovnesky, she attended school in the Coleman area and worked on the family dairy farm most of her life.
A longtime member of St. Anne Parish in Coleman, she was a past member of the Altar Rosary Society and enjoyed embroidering items for around the house.
She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Mavis and Bob Larmay; two nephews, Scott Larmay and Rocky Johnson; special friends, Linda and Katie Kostreva, Kathy and all of the Kostreva family and many other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Hubert Johnson.
Friends may call at St. Anne Catholic Church, 228 East Main Street, Coleman on Monday, Aug. 20, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Nonito Barra will officiate with burial in First Baptist Cemetery in Pound. Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
