Robert G. Westoff, 85, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Friday, Aug. 31, 2018 at home.
Born Oct. 3, 1932 in Menominee, to the late Robert and Bernice (Saucier) Westoff, he graduated from Menominee High School in 1951. He married Marilyn Sandberg on Nov. 1, 1954 and she preceded him in death in 2007. He retired from Scott Paper Mill in 1994 after 42 years.
He enjoyed taking his five daughters camping, hiking and snowmobiling with friends and neighbors and trips to Vegas. Once he purchased "Camp Wounded Knee", his time was spent there with family, friends, grandchildren, and friends, which meant the world to him.
He is survived by three daughters, Linda (Jeff) Sieminski and Tina (Steve) Fifarek, both of Menominee and Lisa (Steve) Pohl of Rockford, Ill.; like a daughter, Wendy (Tom) Johnson; a son-in-law, Gary Betzinger of Menominee; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and two sister-in-laws, Joyce (Ward) Uecke and Carol (Ron) Woods.
In addition to his parents and wife, Marilyn, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Wendy Westoff and Connie Betzinger; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Ruby Sandberg; his in-laws, Carl and Margaret Sandberg and his only cousin, Sam Saucier.
Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home in Marinette on Thursday, Sept. 6 from 3 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 6 p.m. Deacon Vince Beckley will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery.
