John Charles Lyman, 66, of Marinette, passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
Born Sept. 5, 1951 in Milwaukee, to the late James and Mary (Barnwell) Lyman, he graduated from Brookfield East High School in Milwaukee and served in the United States Air Force Reserves during the Vietnam War. He worked at AT&T as a Central Office Technician, retiring in 2001 after over 30 years of service. He married the former Janet Schomer on Aug. 5, 1983.
He enjoyed golfing, watching the Green Bay Packers, and playing cards, but his greatest joy was being with family.
Survivors include his wife, Janet; a daughter, Sara (Mike) Grell of Florence; a sister, Suzanne Lyman and her husband, Byron Ellis of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; a niece, Alissa; a great-nephew, Connor and other family members and friends.
Per his wishes, private services were held. Through organ donation, he has given the gift of eyesight. Cadieu Funeral Home of Menominee, Mi. assisted the family with arrangements.
