Mary Ann Van Acker, 76, of Howard, passed away Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018.
Born June 19, 1942 in Marinette, to the late Victor and Doris (Maloney) Stepniak, she graduated from Marinette High School in 1960 and worked at Gustmans. She married Clyde Van Acker on Sept. 4, 1965 and they owned Van Acker's Garage in Marinette.
She moved to Green Bay and graduated from UWGB with a Bachelor Degree in Social Work and worked as a social worker for Brown County until retiring. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading and was a huge Packer fan.
Survivors include a daughter, Laura (Kevin) LaLuzerne; two granddaughters; a sister, Pat (Bart) Rynish and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Paul and two granddaughters, Becca and Katie.
Family and friends called at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Howard-Suamico location on Tuesday, Sept. 18 from 4 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 6 p.m., with Deacon Tom Mahoney officiating.
