Richard "Moon" M. Mullins, 62, passed away Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018 in his sleep at his home in Marinette.
Born April 30, 1956 in Menominee, Mi., to Donald and Elizabeth (Blanchette) Mullins, he graduated from Marinette High School and sailed the Great Lakes for 28 years for American Steam Ship. He then worked as a welder at Marinette Marine from where he retired.
On Feb. 15, 1991, he married Dorrie Sweeney and he loved spending time with family, hunting, fishing, was proud of the camper he just bought for his camping trips, was a Packer fan and loved his dogs, Bella and Snooky.
He is survived by his wife, Dorrie Mullins of Marinette; his mother, Elizabeth Mullins; a step-son, Jerimi (Carla) Schomaker of Etowah, Tn.; a step-daughter, Jenny Burke of Milwaukee; a brother, Jeff (Penny) Mullins of Marinette; two sisters, Kathy (Mike) Neubert of Marinette and Karen (Patrick) Mullins of Peshtigo; a Godchild, Em Neubert; many grandchildren; nieces and nephews; his in-laws, Theckla "Tec" and Rodger Reible; two sisters-in-law, Marla Deleon and Colleen Pratt, both of Green Bay and a special friend, Joe Techmeier.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Mullins; a brother, Kenny "Moon" Mullins and a nephew, Keith Neubert.
Visitation was held Sunday, Sept. 16 at Thielen Funeral Home in Marinette from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. Deacon Jerome Thetreau officiated, followed by a luncheon. Burial was in Glenwood Memorial Gardens on Monday, Sept. 17 at 11 a.m.
