Wausaukee Adds Beach, Brooks Roads For ATVs
Issue Date: September 20, 2018
At the Wausaukee Town Board meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 11 supervisors approved adding Beach Road and Brooks Road, starting at Pike River Road, to the town's ATV route.
Members present were Town Chair Jeff Engelmann; Supervisor 1 Bob Jicha; Supervisor 2 David Tomasino; Supervisor 4 Dennis Taylor; Treasurer Sally Hultquist, and Clerk Cheryl Stumbris. Supervisor 3 Kurt Stumbris was absent. Others present for the meeting were Jack Zore and Bob Wesolowski.
Engelmann stated he received no bids or quotes for roof repair, but has had some conversation with a couple of interested companies. The board felt it is too late in the year so the repairs will be put off until spring of 2019.
Tomasino brought to the board's attention that Recycling Ordinance No.091217 reads that "we (Town of Wausaukee) promote recycling, composting and resource recovery for an effective recycling program." He noted yard waste such as grass clippings; brush, and sticks less than 6", but no stumps or building material are to be collected at the recycling site. The Single Stream Recycling Center is open on the first and third Wednesday and Saturday of each Month, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The board unanimously agreed to again hire Marinette County to process 2018 property taxes for the town.
Engelmann is to check on non-compliant variance requests and Taylor is to contact the Marinette County Zoning Administrator regarding privy permits.
