Wausaukee Again Opens Operation Christmas Child
Issue Date: September 27, 2018
For the last 25 years the Samaritans Purse project, Operation Christmas Child, has collected and delivered more than 157 million gift-filled shoe boxes to children in over 160 countries and territories. Boxes are collected in the United States and 10 other countries.
The red/green logo boxes and brochures will soon be available for anyone interested in packing a box with a drop off center in Wausaukee. Call 715-856-5053 or email email@example.com for more information.
In 2017 some shoebox gifts collected in the United States were delivered to 1.2 million children living in hard -to-reach areas in 23 countries. For the safety of partners living those restricted areas the names of the countries cannot be divulged. "A shoebox there becomes a key to a closed door."
Samaritans Purse org. recently established three relief bases in eastern North Carolina (New Bern, Wilmington, and Jackson-ville) in response to hurricane damage. They were also instrumental helping Puerto Rico and stand with them in the long term recovery.
