Peter Allen Hilton, 72, of Marinette, passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, surrounded by loved ones.
Born March 31, 1946 in Marinette, to John Merlin Hilton and Lorena May (Waters) Hilton, he lived most of his life in Marinette, where he raised his daughters and owned and operated Peter Hilton's Trench Company.
During his last few months, he spent many afternoons reminiscing with his brother Jim, time with the rest of the family, joking with his friends and caregivers and is especially thankful for his friend and nurse, Ruth.
Family and friends were most important to him and his life focused on them. He loved little children and animals, especially his cat.
He will be remembered for his character, strong will, humor, pranks, philosophy, guitar playing, storytelling and mostly his love.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Evelyn Knopp-Hilton; three daughters, Jessica Eickman, Sara (Bill) Egan and Nina (Jeff) Graunke; three grandchildren and four siblings.
A private Celebration of Life will be held by his family. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family.
