Richard A. Ermis, Sr., 81, of Lena, passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018 with family by his side.
Born March 12, 1937 in the Town of Beaver, to the late August and Martha (Tachick) Ermis, he married the former Florence DeKeyser on Sept. 18, 1960 in Menominee, Mi and they farmed in the Town of Spruce until retirement. She preceded him in death on Feb. 23, 1995.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, restoring old cars and tractors and spending time with his grandchildren. A member of Allis Chalmers of Yesteryear in Lena, he belonged to the Model T Fliver's and was a lifetime member of the Wisconsin Trapper's Association and the NRA.
Surviving are a son, Richard "Butch" (Marsha) Ermis, Jr., step-children, Ray (Laura) Semrau, David Semrau, Gene Semrau and Doris Snow; two grandchildren; a brother, Raymond (Millie) Ermis and many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosemary Ermis; three brothers, Henry, Delmar and Alvin; three sisters, Margaret Truckey, Florence Nevermen and Marilyn Nowak and four step-children, Myron Semrau, Shirley Meiresonne, Marian Parczick and Dorothy Herning.
Family will greet relatives and friends at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home, 235 E. Main St., Coleman on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Mark Kostreva officiating. Burial will be in the Town of Brazeau Cemetery.
