John Barnes, 89, of Wausaukee, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 at his home.
Born Dec. 1, 1928 in Chicago, Ill., to the late John and Katherine (Zajac) Barnes, he married Teresita Bacani on Jan. 3, 1980. A dairy farmer his whole life, he was a hard worker and a faithful member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, attending Mass on a regular basis.
He enjoyed time with family, especially hunting deer with his brother.
He is survived by his wife, Teresita; three nephews, Michael (Barbara), Kevin (Jackie) and Rick (Alecia) Bist; many great-nieces and nephews and two sisters-in-law, Linda Bacani and Rebecca (Aldin) Danao.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Barbara Barnes and Paul Bist.
Family and friends called at St. Augustine Catholic Church on Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. Fr. Frederick Sserugga officiated with interment in Evergreen Cemetery in Wausaukee. Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee assisted the family with arrangements.
