Silver Cliff Fire, Rescue Plan Hunters Bake Sale

The October meeting of the Silver Cliff Fire & Rescue Auxiliary was called to order by President Barb Van Boxtel at 9 AM on Monday, Oct. 8th at the Silver Cliff Town Hall. Secretary Lorna Maedke and Treasurer Ann Wender gave their respective reports.
In other reports, the 2019 Scholarship Committee Chair will be Mary Wagner. The Shirts & Things Chairman Crystal Peterson said her new shirts have arrived and will be on display at the Deer Hunters Bake Sale. Sunshine Chairman Sue Vanden Berg sent out three get well cards and a sympathy card.
Wender presented the 2019 Budget and after discussion, it was agreed that all money from the Deer Hunters Bake Sale will go into the miscellaneous portion of the budget to be used for scholarships so that amounts will be maintained at $500 each. The 2019 budget was approved as presented.
President Van Boxtel and Peterson discussed the 2018 Fall Fest and said it was too late this year for the picnic, which was planned to be at the Silver Cliff Picnic Area. They will discuss a picnic for 2019 and also a spring festivity.
Lorna Maedke and Gail Van Ark will look at a new Silver Cliff Fire & Rescue Auxiliary sign to be displayed at the November Deer Hunters Bake Sale at Jungle Jim's. The December Christmas Party will be at 11 AM at Waubee Lodge with Van Ark and Vanden Berg as co-chair.
The annual election of officers was held for the 2018-2019 Calendar Year. Named Vice President is Mary Deprey and Treasurer Ann Wender.
The 2018 Parade Grand Marshals, Bonney Reese and Lori Paulson will be honored at the November Fall Luncheon. The Silver Cliff Fire Chief Al Walesh and Rescue Squad Leader Riana Ventura will be receiving their checks from the August picnic. The fall luncheon meeting will be at 10 AM at the Silver Cliff Town Hall.
