Joan M. (Goldsmith) Thurow, 83, of Peshtigo, passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2018.
Born June 30, 1935, to the late Leo and Agnes (Edelberg) Goldsmith, she married Arthur Thurow on Nov. 12, 1955.
A member of First Trinity Lutheran Church, she sang in the Church Choir for many years, was an avid reader, enjoyed doing ceramics and shopping, but mostly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur; a son, Gary (Patty) Thurow;
three daughters, Debra Wolfgram, Susan (Michael) Hartwig and Connie (Steven) Bruso; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren with one on the way; two sisters, Lois (James) Polzin and Eunice Schewe; a sister-in-law, Eunice Goldsmith and a brother-in-law, Richard Ihde.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, David;
a sister, Nancy Ihde; two brothers, Donald and Gerald and a son-in-law, Carl Wolfgram.
Visitation was held Monday, Oct. 15 at First Trinity Lutheran Church in Marinette from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m., with Pastor Christian Eisenbeis officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo. A memorial fund was established in her name. Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home of Peshtigo assisted the family with arrangements.
