Clara Louise (Kosewski) Mathias, 82 , of Marinette passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018 at her home.
Born June 26, 1936 in Wallace, Mi., to the late Stanley and Anna Kosewski, she married Jerome Mathias on Feb. 19, 1955 and he preceded her in death in 1982.
She loved traveling with family and friends, was an avid polka dancer and rarely missed a chance to go dancing and listening to a new or favorite band.
Surviving are two sons, Greg (Lisa) Mathias of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Dan Mathias of Menominee; a daughter, Brenda Habenicht of Eagle River; a grandson and two great-grandchildren, all of Green Bay and her fiancé Paul Yatzo of Lena; in-laws June Kosewski (also a dear friend), Don Terarvitz, Albert Multerer, Jerry Socha, Dorothy Mathias, Val Mathias, William and Fran Mathias, Diane and Tommy Phillips, Jan and Norm Dolsky and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ed Kosewski and five sisters, Marcy Ahrndt, Eleanor Tenarvitz, Marge Nelson, Barbara Multerer and Sandy Socha.
A Memorial Service Celebration of Life will be held at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette on Sunday, Nov. 4 at 2 p.m. with Deacon Jerome Thetreau officiating.
