Issue Date: November 8, 2018
Evert John Ramstrum, 73, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born Oct. 29, 1945 in Menominee, Mi., to Rose and Evert Ramstrum, he graduated from Menominee High School in 1963 and continued to share memories with his classmates. He attended Ferris State College and Green Bay Technical School. At an early age, he began in the construction business, Ramstrum Construction Inc, which he took over from his father until he had a stroke 15 years ago.
His sharp mind, witt and caring personality was not altered by his stroke. He always lent a helping hand to family and friends and even with his health challenges, he looked forward to every day and never gave up.
He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, June and Gary (Pappy) Paprukilo; cousins; special friends, Julie Ardry and Kathy (Tim) Danhieux and many others too numerous to mention.
His parents preceded him in death.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Nov. 6 at First Presbyterian Church in Menominee from 4 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 6 p.m., with Pastor Jon Nelson officiating, followed by a luncheon. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee. Cadieu Funeral Home of Menominee assisted the family with arrangements.
