Gertrude L. (Beissel) Pillath, 105, of Beaver, passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2018 at home with family by her side.
Born June 16, 1913 in Beaver, to the late Louis and Wilhelmina (Wertulewski) Beissel, she married Arthur Pillath on June 16, 1937 in Menominee, Mi. She graduated from UW-Oshkosh and was a grade school teacher in Coleman and Crivitz for many years.
An avid Packer and Badger fan, she also enjoyed bird watching and reading the Bible. She was a prayer warrior and woman of great faith and strength, even in her final days.
Surviving are three children, Roger (Irene), Jerome (Ruth) and Alice (Darrel) Bieber; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Elsie Badora and many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; a son, Robert; a grandson, William and two sisters, Mildred Jensen and Angeline Broderick.
Family greeted relatives and friends at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home in Coleman on Sunday, Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at noon with Pastor Mark Kostreva officiating. Burial was in First Baptist Cemetery in Pound.
