Joyce Leona (Sandberg) Uecke , 85, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Saturday, Nov. 10 at home.
Born Sept. 25, 1933, in Marinette, to Carl and Margaret Sandberg, she graduated from Marinette High School in 1952. She married Ward (Mose) Uecke of Menominee and they were together for 63 years.
She enjoyed going for walks and could be seen walking the Marinette-Menominee loop. Her favorite way to begin each day was to meet friends and family for her morning coffee and breakfast. She enjoyed watching Judge Judy and Wheel of Fortune, but mostly time with loved ones, especially her grandchildren of which she was very proud of. She was generous and had a kind heart.
She is survived by her husband, Ward (Mose); three children, Tom Uecke, Terry (Sandy) Uecke and Lynn (Kevin) Jaklin; a daughter-in-law, Joan Beekman; six grandchildren; a sister, Carol (Ronald) Woods and many nephews and nieces.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn, and a brother, Carl.
Per her wishes, a private burial will be held. A Memorial Service is being planned by the family and the details will be published at a later date. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family.
