Robert "Bob" C. Schrader, 86, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, surrounded by family at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
Born April 14, 1932, in Escanaba Mi., to Eleanor and Clarence Schrader, he served in the United States Navy for four years. He owned Anderson Bloom Men's Clothing Store in downtown Escanaba and managed Radio Shack in Marinette the rest of his career. He married Marjorie Walk, daughter of Harold and Ardina (Zander) Walk on Aug. 3, 1957.
Devoted to his family, friends and Church community, he will be remembered for his thoughtful, witty and wise nature. He contributed to his communities through the gift of his rich, tenor voice and spent 37 years directing choir in both Escanaba and Marinette. He was in many Players de Noc productions and sang at many weddings and funerals. He was a licensed ham radio operator with the Northeast Wisconsin DX Association.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marjorie; a son, Paul (Patti) Schrader; two daughters, Pam (Jim) Hansen and Patty (Jeff) Nault; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren with one on the way.
Visitation will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. until time of a Memorial Service at noon. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given to the church choir and quilters. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family with arrangements.
