Madison Marie Pluger, 12, of Spencer, passed away Saturday evening, Oct. 27, 2018 as the result of injuries sustained in a go-karting accident in Marinette County.
Born May 19, 2006 in Oconto Falls, to Krystle (Nick) Tomczik and Chad (Sarah Sleeman) Pluger, she loved playing sports, especially volleyball and basketball, enjoyed hanging out with friends, dancing with her brother and sisters and gave the best piggyback rides.
Her smile could light up a room and she always wanted to help others. She wasn't given time to become the Surgeon she always wanted to be, however as an organ donor, her dream of saving lives has come true.
Survivors include her mother, Krystle (Nick) Tomczik, Spencer; her father, Chad (Sarah Sleeman) Pluger, Clintonville; siblings, Liam Pluger, Montana Tomczik and Madilynn and Liala Sleeman; grandparents, Tina (Gary) Deneys, Neenah, Tim (Anne Long) Pluger, Pella and Marsha (Jon Edwards) Pluger, Antigo; great-grandparents, Jennie (John) Johnson, Clintonville, Floyd (Shari Haskett) Pluger, Gresham and Leonard and Delores Heise, Suring and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Douglas Belongia, Sr., paternal great-grandparents, Andrew and Lois Pockat and an uncle, Cody Pluger.
Friends called at United Methodist Church in Clintonville on Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. Rev. Diana Ziegler officiated, followed by interment in Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville. A memorial fund has been established. Eberhardt- Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory of Clintonville assisted the family with arrangements.
