Shirley Ann Neumeier, 83, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018.
Born June 14, 1935, to the late Sebastian and Mabel Endres, after graduation, she earned a Registered Nurse degree from Sparrow College of Nursing. She worked at Munson Hospital in Traverse City in pediatrics and later attended the University of Michigan to get a Teaching degree. During that time she was a dorm nurse and then taught math and science at the 7th and 8th grade level in Garden City, Mi. She married Thomas Neumeier on June 10, 1961 in Ypsilanti, Mi. and they celebrating over 57 years together.
She enjoyed spending time at the family cottage, going to the casino and collecting dolls.
Along with her husband Tom, she is survived by three sons, Charles (Chris) Neumeier of Green Bay, Jeffrey Neumeier of Valparaiso, Ind. and Bruce Neumeier of Menominee, Mi.; four grandchildren; a sister, Dora Mae (Chuck) Anspaugh; a brother, Carl (Patricia) Endres and many family members and friends.
Per her wishes, private funeral services were held. Cadieu Funeral Home of Menominee assisted the family. A memorial fund was established in her name and expressions of sympathy and kindness can be directed to Thomas Neumeier.
