Sylvester Alvin Bellow age 89 of Coleman, passed away on November 24, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital.
He was born to the late Alvin and Helen (Kushava) Bellow on April 4, 1929. He worked for Chicago North Western Railroad for over 30 years until retiring and moving to Coleman.
He loved gardening and fishing trips. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Coleman and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by 3 brothers, Melvin (Pat), Kenosha, WI, Gerry (Wanda), Covington, TN and Eugene, Lena, WI; 3 sisters, Darlene Williams, MN, Diane (Jerry) Pusich, Conover, WI and LouAnn (Peter Sr.) Herlache, Lena, WI; brother-in-law, Ray Sittner and 2 aunts, Lillian Bellow and Leona Belongia.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Alfred Bellow and one sister, Helen Jane Sittner and a brother-in-law, Pastor Ron Williams.
The family would like to thank St. Vincent Hospital, Dr. Thomas Smith, DaVita Dialysis of Green Bay, Oconto Falls Dialysis and Sylvester's neighbors for watching over him.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home in Coleman on Thursday, November 29th from 4-6 PM. The vigil service will be at 6pm with Deacon Peter Guard officiating. The visitation will continue on Friday, November 30th from 9-11 Am. The service will be at 11 AM with Father Felix Abano officiating. Sylvester will be laid to rest at the St. Patrick's Cemetery in Stiles.
