Peter John Geniesse, 64, of Marinette, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
Born June 7, 1954 in Menominee, Mi., to the late John Geniesse and Mary (Lippens) Geniesse, he graduated from Menominee High School in 1972 and married the former Diane Fehrenbach on Sept. 24, 1999. He worked at LE Jones Company for many years as a Maintenance Machinist.
He enjoyed fishing, working on his 1966 Ford Mustang, taking road trips, seeking adventures with his grandchildren, discovering new places and appreciated life.
Along with his wife, Diane, he is survived by his mother; seven children, Sarah (Casey) Royer, Melissa (Branden) Seymour, Meghan (Joseph) Teska, Brian Geniesse, Benjamin Royer, Christopher Geniesse and Adam Geniesse; four grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, George (Sue) Geniesse, Richard (Donna) Geniesse, Pat (Honor) Smith, Diane (Lewie) Kientz, Rose (Steve) Sommerfeldt and Mary (Steve) Forgette; two brothers-in-law, Tom Dault and Ronald (Karen) Fehrenbach and a sister-in-law, Debra Tomic.
Along with his father, John Geniesse, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy Dault; in-laws, Jim and Maxine Fehrenbach and a brother-in-law, Gordie Tomic.
Visitation took place Monday, Dec. 10, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Birch Creek from 4 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 6 p.m. Fr. Michael Ocran presided with burial in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee. Cadieu Funeral Home of Menominee is assisting the family with arrangements.
