Bulldog Bowling Teams Off to a Great Start

The Peshtigo Bulldog High School boys and girls bowling teams are off to a good start in the Green Bay conference.
The boys started off league play by defeating Green Bay East 9-0 in a road match. The team averaged 203 led by Senior Nolan Lemke with 13 strikes and only one open frame. Senior Jared Madsen also only had 1 open out of 18 frames. Freshman Travis Lund and Sophomore Nevyn DeMille chipped in with 9 strikes. The Bulldogs then defeated Pulaski 6-3 in their 1st home match. Lemke led the way with 11 strikes and one open. Madsen also threw 11 strikes. The next match against Seymour Lund led the way with only two opens in a 9-0 victory. DeMille led the team with eight strikes. In their 3rd straight home match the Bulldogs improved to 4-0 defeating Marinette 6-2-1. Madsen and Lemke had 10 strikes followed by Senior Hunter Gauthier who had 9. The Bulldogs are currently in the lead with their perfect 4-0 record averaging 193 per game. Three tough matches are coming up before Christmas with a home match against Green Bay Southwest on Wednesday, at Ashwaubenon Friday and at Bayport next Tuesday.
The girls had two matches defeating Seymour 9-0 and Marinette 5-4. Against Seymour Trinity Ries led the way with 10 strikes and only two opens. Mo Nicklaus added 8 strikes. In the Marinette match Katelyn Lewis had 9 strikes and Rachel Chaney chipped in with seven. The girls are averaging 153 on the season. Their next matches will be against Ashwaubenon and Bayport.
