Joan I. Ouellette, 77, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018 at her home.
Born May 15, 1941, to Henry and Irene (Portier) Grun in Menominee Mi., she graduated from Menominee High School and continued her education in Chicago at The Cradle Nursing School. She returned to Menominee and worked at St. Joseph's Hospital, then Emerson Electric and retired from the YMCA where she made many lifelong friends. She married Alfred Ouellette on Sept. 15, 1962 and they had three children.
She loved traveling to Louisiana to visit her grandchildren and wintering in Florida with friends she met in New York.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Alfred; three children, Michele (John) Kelley, Cindy (Chuck) Brady and Michael (Carol) Ouellette; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; friends, June, Mary, Marilyn and many other good friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Grun.
Friends may call at Hansen Onion-Martell Funeral Home in Marinette on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018 from 4 p.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 6 p.m., with Fr. Brian Gerber officiating.
