Holman "Tex" Linderoth, 77, of Daggett, Mi., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2018 at home.
Born Jan. 21, 1941 in Stephenson, Mi., to the late Hilding and Anne (Forssberg) Linderoth, he graduated from Stephenson High School in 1959 and married Janis Freis on Aug. 24, 1963. A dairy farmer his entire life, retiring in March of 2014, he considered everyone who worked on the farm to be family.
He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Daggett and served as a Trustee for over 30 years on the Lake Township Board. He also served on the Stephenson Marketing Board in various positions and was a 4-H Leader.
He had a sense of humor, had a quick wit, was an avid hunter and loved fishing. A hard worker, he had a great appreciation for good dairy cows, took great pride in his herd, was an amateur historian that appreciated local history and loved watching the Green Bay Packers and the Michigan State Spartans. He had a strong faith in God and was a great father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife Janis of Daggett, Mi.; two daughters, Shannon Linderoth of Daggett, Mi. and Carrie (Jason) Romel and their daughter Skylar of DeWitt, Mi.; two brothers, Hilding Jr. of Peshtigo and Harlan of Stephenson, Mi.; a brother-in-law, Richard (Joan) Freis; two sisters-in-law, Karen (Leonard) Strohl and Donna (Darrell) Erickson and many nieces; nephews and cousins.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law Patsy (Harold) Nuttall.
Visitation will be held at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson on Thursday, Dec. 27 from 4 p.m. until time of a Prayer Service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, Dec. 28 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Daggett from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Paul Doletzky officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery in Spring.
