Allen Wenzel, Sr., 80, of Oconto, passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018 with family by his side at Grancare Nursing Center in Green Bay.
Born Jan. 23, 1938 in Oconto, to the late Charles and Edith (McDonald) Wenzel, he served in the United States Army.
He enjoyed the car races in Shawano, loved going to car shows, exercising at the Bond Community Center and time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are five children, Roxanne Wenzel, Cindy (Brian) Rowell, Charles (Tammy) Wenzel, Catherine (Joe) Pecor and Allen Wenzel, Jr.; 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Marvin and two sisters, Shirley and Rosie.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle; three brothers, Melvin, Carl and Eddie and five sisters, Betty, Lorraine, Jane, Amanda and Norma.
Family greeted relatives and friends at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home in Oconto on Wednesday, Jan. 2 from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Deacon Walt Kaszynski officiating. Military Honors were given by the Oconto American Legion with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Oconto.
