Alice A. Oleson, 75, of Marinette, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2018 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born April 1, 1943 in Marinette to John and Myrtle Kiefer, she was a lifelong Marinette resident and graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in 1961. She then worked at Border Oil Co. and the former Marathon Paper Co. as a receptionist. On Oct. 25, 1969, she married Bruce Oleson and spent several years as a stay at home mom raising their four children. She later worked at Angeli's for many years until retiring. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Marinette.
She enjoyed time with all of her nine grandchildren, reading, doing crossword puzzles, baking, finding the needle in the Country Magazine and often played games of cards or Scrabble at the kitchen table.
Survivors include her husband, Bruce; four children, Kirby (Renee "George"), Kurt, Melissa "Missy" and Kevin (Sarah); nine grandchildren and two sisters, Gerry Betzinger and Mary Lou Bulin.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Wood and Georgene LaCoursiere.
Friends called at Zion Lutheran Church in Marinette on Saturday, Dec. 29 from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral services at 11 a.m. Rev. Keith Kolstad officiated with entombment in Forest Home Mausoleum. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette assisted the family with arrangements.
