Born Feb. 9, 1925, to the late Emil and Anna (Walecka) Ripley in Slovan, she graduated from Lena High School in 1942. After graduation, she worked alongside her father as a cheesemaker in the cheese factory in Lena and then later in Lincoln where they moved to. She met Mel Fameree there and they married on June 15, 1948 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on Aug. 27, 1989.
She enjoyed singing, dancing, sang in the Choir at St. Peter's Church and performed and sang with the Wisconsin Czech Choraliers. With her love of gardening, she always had a huge garden and enjoyed sharing her bounty with family, friends and neighbors. She also did a lot of canning and was famous for her pickles that everyone loved.
She is survived by seven children, Jim (Zoe) Fameree, Chuck (special friend Teina) Fameree and Rhonda (Tim) Weinschenk , all of Green Bay, Gloria (Randy) Klosterman of DePere, Joe (Nancy) Fameree of Algoma, DJ (Annette King) Fameree of New Franken and Dave (Jill) Fameree of Black Creek and many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother; sisters and brothers-in-law.
Family and friends may visit at Wiesner and Massart Funeral Homes in Casco on Wednesday, Jan. 2 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday Morning, Jan. 3 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lincoln from 10 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Fr. Edward Looney will officiate, followed by burial in the Church Cemetery.
