Lavern C. Parshen, 91, of Minocqua, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019 at the Season of Life Hospice House surrounded by her husband of 72 years and family.
Born in Oconto Falls, to Steven and Camille Trudell, she graduated from Oconto Falls High School and in 1968 returned to school as an adult to receive her LPN from NWTI.
She worked for many years in the Oconto Falls Hospital and Nursing Home and retired to Minocqua in 1990. Once there, she volunteered at Marshfield Clinic-Minocqua Center doing Blood Pressure screening, where she met many good people.
She is survived by her husband, Wilbur; three children, Cheryl "Cookie" (Gary) Scheffen of Lac du Flambeau, Patricia (Dick) Bechtel of Arbor Vitae and Larry (Cindy Stien) Parshen of Shawano; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Rodney and Robert Trudell and a grandson, Shaun.
A private Family Memorial Gathering will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to HYF/Seasons of Life Hospice House, P.O., Box 770 Woodruff.
