THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Coleman 5th Grade At Overnight Field Trip
Issue Date: February 28, 2019
On Feb. 14-15, Coleman Elementary fifth graders went on an overnight field trip to Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya in Suring. The outdoor experience allowed students to explore winter and a variety of activities in an alternate classroom setting. While there, students learned new concepts in science and social studies during the Outdoor Living Skills and Animal Tracking classes.
Students also had an opportunity to experience winter activities, such as cross country skiing and sledding at night. The fifth grade students and teachers thank the staff at the camp for their incredible organization of the trip, the spectators that purchased food/drink at the concession stands, and both the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin and S.T.E.F Foundation for their generous grants.
