William Semrau, Jr., 78, of Oconto, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019 at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette.
Born June 3, 1940 in Grover, one of six children, to the late William and Evelyn (Evrard) Semrau Sr., he married Sharon Scharmann on June 6, 1959 at St. Joseph Church in Oconto and worked at Drews Trucking for many years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but especially loved time with his family, friends and dog, Gabby.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Sharon; a son, Kevin (Liz) Semrau of Lititz, Pa.; a daughter, Connie (Scott) Klein of Green Bay; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two sisters, Shelby Yudes and Judie Critchfield.
Among his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Family will greet relatives and friends at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home in Oconto on Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 9 a.m. until time of the Memorial Service at 11 a.m., with Fr. Joel Sember officiating.
