Gwen Lynn (Jacobs) Broeder, 79, of Pahrump, Nv., formerly of Milwaukee, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21 at home, surrounded by family.
Born March 20,1939 in Milwaukee, to Al and Evelyn (Sharpe) Jacobs, she was raised by her step-father Jay Buckner and her mother Ev in Janesville where she graduated from Janesville High School in 1957.
She was the granddaughter of Ben and Amanda Sharpe of Peshtigo. Other relatives included her aunts and uncles, Bud (Helen) Sharpe, Mel (Laureen) Sharpe, Bob (Dorothy) Sharpe and Carole (Sharpe) Eigner, all from or formerly of Peshtigo, along with their families.
With her love of fine arts, she became an accomplished artist in oil painting. She worked in various administration jobs, from which she retired from.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jack; three children, Cindy Jenni and Ervin (Skip) Broeder, both of Nevada and Jackie Dunne of Wisconsin; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Peggy Tweet of Wisconsin and Karen and Candy Buckner, both of Tennessee.
