M&M Thunder Cap Season With 3rd Place State Finish

Another long hockey season is in the books.
The M&M Thunder wrapped up the 2018-19 season with a third-place finish at the state tournament in Hudson over the weekend, ending the season with a 7-0 win over Superior to take third.
Niya Patneaude started the season finale, saving all nine shots on goal.
Paul Nash, Adam Lemery, Aidan Bohaczek, Wesley Knutson and Justin Netemeyer each scored in the finale against Superior, while Nick Kehoe had two goals.
The Thunder also started the tournament with a win, beating Hudson 7-2. Jordan Carvenough scored twice in the game. Ethan Koch, Paul Nash, Cade Fernstrum and Zach Wallin and Adam Lemery each scored in the game as well.
Patneaude started in the net and saved 14 of 16 shots on net.
The Thunder's only loss of the weekend was a tough one, dropping a 5-4 battle with the Kenosha Komets.
Knutson, Fernstrum, Bohaczek and Netemeyer all scored in regulation to send things to overtime, where Kenosha scored to send the M&M squad to the third-place game.
