Carol J. (Haines) Yuenger, 101, passed away Friday, March 15, 2019.
Born Dec. 22, 1917 in Menominee, Mi., to the late William and Elsie (Meyer) Haines, she married David A. Yuenger, Sr. on Sept. 3, 1938. Even thought she didn't want to have any children "to mess up her house' and just wanted her David, they had eight children.
She enjoyed poetry, music, bridge, books, crossword puzzles and was a great homemaker and cook. She was known as "Christmas Carol' with her house and tree all decorated at Christmas.
She is survived by four daughters, Kay (Mike) Wisneski, Mary Ellen (Fran) Barbeau, Anne (Jeff) Gajeski and Julie Murken; three daughters-in-law, Catherine West, Sue Yuenger and Julie Yuenger; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
Amongst her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David in 1978; four sons, Jim, Dave, John and Mark; a son-in-law, Todd Murken; a granddaughter, Sarah Gajeski; two siblings, Audrey (Joe) Pluth and Bud (Donna) Haines; several brothers and sisters-in-law; other relatives and extended family.
Family and friends were invited to visit at Malcore East Funeral Home in Green Bay on Tuesday, March 19 from 2 p.m. until time of a Prayer Service at 5 p.m. Burial was in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
