Antoinette "Toni" (Lopin) Leitzke, 94, of Marinette, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born Aug. 20, 1924 in California, to the late Nick and Nike Lopin, she married Walter Leitzke in 1946. They moved to Menominee, Mi., where they made their home and ran State Wide Real Estate from 1957 through 1987. She was appointed and worked at the State of Michigan license bureau for 17 years.
She enjoyed traveling, photography, craft projects, entertaining gatherings at camp, including hunting groups, birthday club and special events. She also enjoyed fishing trips together and traveling through the United States. After retirement, she canned her garden veggies, trying new recipes and there was always fresh baked goods and coffee for anyone who stopped by. She was known for her sense of humor, kindness and thoughtfulness.
Survivors include two sons, Michael and Dale (Geri); a granddaughter; three great-granddaughters; a brother, Mitch Lopin; a sister-in-law, Jean Lopin; many nieces and nephews; a good friend, Rhonda Philibeck and daughter-in-law, Geri.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter in 2014 and a brother, Bob Lopin.
Visitation was held at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee on Tuesday, May 21 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Resurrection Parish in Menominee at 11 a.m. Fr. Brian Gerber officiated with burial in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
