Gabriela Frances "Brie" Jacques, 16, of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 13, 2019.
Born Aug. 23, 2002 in Green Bay, to Maria and Joseph Jacques, she was a happy child that grew into a lovely young lady who never stopped smiling. Her presence brought joy and light to everyone she met.
She was in 10th grade at Ashwaubenon High School, where she played clarinet in the band. She made her family proud with being on the High Honor Roll this year. She was loved by her friends and will be missed. She worked at The Cannery, where she was loved by co-workers and customers with her friendly nature and kindness.
She is survived by her mother, Maria; two brothers, Nicolas and Christian; two sisters, Marisa and Natalie; maternal grandparents, Tony and Patty Wojcik; grandpa, Jerry O'Connor; Godparents, Daniel Jacques and Lana Quandt and many cousins; aunts and uncles, including Michael Wojcik and Jamie Wojcik.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph and paternal grandparents, Lynn and Francis.
Visitation Services were held at Holy Family School Gymnasium in Green Bay, on Sunday, May 19 from 1 p.m. until time of a Prayer Vigil at 6 p.m. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Green Bay on Monday, May 20 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Patrick C. Beno officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Walsh (Porterfield). Blaney Funeral Home of Green Bay assisted the family with arrangements. A memorial fund was established in her honor to benefit Ashwaubenon High School band students.
