Charlie Mitrowke, 95, of Beaver, died Wednesday, May 22, 2019. He moved to Beaver from Milwaukee after retiring from Briggs and Stratton in Milwaukee. Born and raised in Holyoke, Mass. he proudly served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He was a licensed ham radio operator WB9FUH and loved spending time with his hobby. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed life with his family and dear friends.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Rita; son, Marco (Maria) Mitrowke, Coleman; daughters, Marci (Darell) Banker, Waukesha; Elaine (Bill) Dragotta, Oak Creek; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
The family will greet relatives and friends Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 235 E. Main St., Coleman from 9 AM until the time of the Funeral Serivce at 10 AM with Pastor David Navis officiating. Graveside Services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee to receive local Milwaukee friends and family at 2:45 PM Saturday June 1st. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Salvation Army.
