Elroy Bublitz, age 91, of Crivitz, passed away on May 27, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born to the late Herbert and Cora Bublitz on March 11, 1928. He graduated from Cedarburg High School 1946. After school he joined the United States Army and served for 2 years. After the Army he married Carol Jackson in 1951 who had passed away on March 28, 1995.
Elroy worked in sales and service for Surge Dairy Farm Equipment for 9 years until he purchased his first restaurant L-Roys Dairy Bar. He expanded his restaurant business in Saukville and Lomira.
On October 7, 1996 Elroy married Ginny DeVetter. They resided at Lazy Acres in Crivitz. First and foremost he loved serving the Lord in many ways. He enjoyed woodworking, painting and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ginny; five children, Richard (Audrey), Gail (Kenn) Kurtz, Charles (Kitty), James (Peggy) and Joe (Dawn) Bublitz; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two on the way. Also survived by Ginny's children, Kathy (Ben) Binon, Debi VanDenBerg, Chris (Jim) Pawlak and Steve (Jaime) VanDenBerg; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Delores (Myron) Phillips and Gloria (Harvey) Jaeger and many nieces; nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Paul; two brothers, Earl and John Bublitz; one sister, Marcy Graff and special Class mates.
In Lieu of Flowers, please support Elroy and Ginnys Heart and Cancer Fund at Grace Lutheran Church in Crivitz in memory of Ray VanDenBerg and Carol Bublitz. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Grace Lutheran Church in Crivitz on Saturday June 1st from 9-12 Noon. The service will be at 12 Noon with Rev. Jonathan Zietlow officiating. Elroy will be laid to rest at the Forest Home Cemetery in Crivitz following the Service.
