Ten Members at Legion Unit Meeting

Crivitz"The American Legion Auxiliary May meeting was called to order by President Marian Wankowski. Chaplain Helen Franzen led with a prayer and observed a minute of silence for deceased members. The Pledge of Allegiance, Preamble to the Constitution and Mission Statement of the ALA were said by the 10 members present.
They were introduced to the Dry Hootch program before the meeting. The program provides support and assistance to veterans as they transition from military service to civilian life. It works in conjunction with PTSD support.
Nora Swanson read the treasures report which showed General Fund $ 729.53, Poppy Fund $1921.07, and Petty Cash $2.42.
Currently there are 23 juniors members and 57 seniors. There are still seven months left for new members to join.
The ALA Convention is in Madison July 18-21 when Past department president Andrea Page will be honored. County will host ALA in the Know, at the Woods on Oct. 5. All members are encouraged to attend. Registration is due by Sept. 21.
Members are asked to give just $20 each towards the Bakeless Bake Sale. The money helps to support veterans and their families. Send donations to Nora Swanson at N7488 Sikowski Lane, Crivitz, WI 54114.
Badger Girl news, the Crivitz Women's Club has donated $500 to help sponsor more Badger girls.
The meeting was called by President Marian Wankowski. A prayer for peace was led by Chaplain Helen Franzen and the 50/50 was won by Franzen.
